This advisory is meant to improve food safety and make people more aware of it by encouraging food businesses to use digital tools to help consumers across India.<\/p>\n<h3>Key points of the FSSAI advisory:<\/h3>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>Under this advisory, all <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Food Business Operators (\u2018FBO&#8217;s)<\/span> are mandated to clearly put up the Licence\/Registration Copy containing QR code linked to the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Food Safety Connect mobile application<\/span> at display in places including:\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Restaurants<\/li>\n<li>Dhabas<\/li>\n<li>Cafes<\/li>\n<li>Any other food service establishment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>This QR code has to be prominently visible and displayed at key customer-facing areas such as entrances, billing counters, and seating spaces to ensure easy access, in compliance with conditions of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-9000140224\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Food Safety and Standards (Licensing and Registration of Food Businesses) Regulations, 2011<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>In addition to physical display, advisory also directed the food businesses to feature the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">QR code or app download link<\/span> across:\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Their digital platforms<\/li>\n<li>Websites<\/li>\n<li>Online ordering portals<\/li>\n<li>E-menus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>FSSAI has developed the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Food Safety Connect app<\/span> that allows consumers to:\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>File complaints about unhygienic food practices<\/li>\n<li>Report misleading product claims<\/li>\n<li>Verify FBO license and registration details<\/li>\n<li>Receive real-time food safety alerts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Any complaint submitted through the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">app<\/span> will be <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">automatically directed to the relevant jurisdictional authority<\/span> for fast and effective resolution.<\/li>\n<li>This advisory empowers consumers to take an active role in monitoring food safety while holding food businesses accountable.<\/li>\n<li>It also marks a notable shift toward a more transparent and technology-driven regulatory framework, reinforcing FSSAI\u2019s commitment to protecting public health and enhancing food hygiene nationwide.<\/li>\n<li>FBOs are encouraged are encouraged to promote the advisory and implement necessary measures concerning the mobile application and QR code display as outlined in Annexure
