Also known as the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Day of International Criminal Justice<\/span> or <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">International Justice Day<\/span>, this occasion marks a pivotal moment in legal history, the establishment of a global framework for prosecuting grave crimes like genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.<\/p>\n<h3>Background:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">International Justice Day<\/span> is observed on <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">July 17<span style=\"vertical-align: super;\">th<\/span> each year<\/span> to commemorate the historic adoption of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rome Statute<\/span> in 1998<a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationaldays.org\/july\/international-criminal-justice-day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> and the establishment of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">International Criminal Court (\u2018ICC\u2019)<\/span>. The ICC was created to prosecute individuals responsible for the most serious crimes of concern to the global community, such as, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">genocide<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">war crimes<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">crimes against humanity<\/span>, and <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">crimes of aggression<a href=\"https:\/\/www.icc-cpi.int\/news\/statement-icc-president-judge-tomoko-akane-17-july-day-international-criminal-justice\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><sup>3<\/sup><\/a><\/span>. This observance promotes global accountability, honours victims, and reinforces international cooperation in the pursuit of justice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 1%;\">As <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">William R.
