The journal invites submissions for its upcoming Volume III (2025) focused on the theme \u201c<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Property and Law: Perspectives and Challenges.<\/span>\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">It aims to foster academic excellence and serve as a forum for students, scholars, academicians and professionals to contribute meaningful research to contemporary legal debates.<\/p>\n<h3>Sub-themes<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>The sub-theme of the journal includes:<\/li>\n<li>Customary Laws in Property Rights -Property and Inheritance<\/li>\n<li>Property Rights in the Digital Domain<\/li>\n<li>Property Rights and Gender Justice<\/li>\n<li>Cross-Border Property Issues<\/li>\n<li>Land Laws, including Acquisition, Grants, and Property Rights<\/li>\n<li>State owns property under the Escheat, Eminent Domain, and Police Power<\/li>\n<li>Tenancy and Property Rights<\/li>\n<li>Property of the Tribes and their Protection<\/li>\n<li>Infrastructure Growth and Property Law<\/li>\n<li>Real Estate and Property<\/li>\n<li>Digitalization and E-Governance Initiative in Property Management<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Any related matters<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Submissions Categories:<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Long Papers \/ Article (5,000 to 10,000 words): Submissions in this category are expected to engage with a topic, and existing literature, comprehensively, and offer an innovative reassessment. Empirical studies or Theoretical pieces, e.g., pieces on jurisprudence or legal philosophy are also welcome.<\/li>\n<li>Essay (3,000 to 5,000 words): Submissions in this category are much more concise and targeted in terms of issue identification and argumentation.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Legislative\/ Case Analysis\/ Comment\/ Note (2,500 to 5,000 words): Submissions in this category are supposed to critique a contemporarily relevant judicial pronouncement or legislative measure<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Submission Guidelines:<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>The submissions must be the original, unpublished work of the Author(s) for which self- declaration of originality is to be submitted.<\/li>\n<li>Upon submission, the copyright shall be of DSNLJ for any subsequent publication\/reprint\/derivative work.<\/li>\n<li>The Editorial Board shall not be responsible for any libelous or scandalous material.<\/li>\n<li>As per UGC (Promotion of Academic Integrity and Prevention of Plagiarism in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2018, plagiarism is strictly monitored. Submissions will be screened.<\/li>\n<li>Original work and proper citations are mandatory.<\/li>\n<li>Submissions should be original and not under consideration elsewhere.<\/li>\n<li>Manuscripts should strictly adhere to prescribed word limit and citation format.<\/li>\n<li>Authors must follow Oscola, 4th Edition as the citation format.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">All submissions must include an abstract of not more than 250 words. Co-authorship is permitted, with a maximum of two authors per submission. The prescribed word limits are exclusive of footnotes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>In the subject line, please mention \u201c<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Submission of Paper for DSNLJ Property and Law.<\/span>\u201d<\/li>\n<li>All submissions will be subject to a plagiarism check in accordance with academic integrity standards.<\/li>\n<li>Authors who wish to submit an Extended Abstract should comply with the following instructions:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>Extended abstracts do not include the names of (co-)author or their affiliations to ensure the fairness of the double-blind peer review process<\/li>\n<li>Extended abstracts are submitted as Word files.<\/li>\n<li>The minimum length must be at least 1500 words and the extended abstract must not exceed 3,000 words (footnotes included.)<\/li>\n<li>The extended abstract should contain references following a uniform citation format.<\/li>\n<li>The extended abstract should at least contain a description of:\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\">\n<li>The background\/context of the paper<\/li>\n<li>The relevance\/original contribution of the paper to the state-of-the-art<\/li>\n<li>The research question\/hypothesis<\/li>\n<li>The research methodology used in the paper<\/li>\n<li>(Preliminary) results of the research<\/li>\n<li>Results\/implications of the research<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The body of the paper should be justified in Times New Roman, font size 12, with1.5 spacing. Footnotes should also be in Times New Roman, 10 font size, with single spacing. Strictly conform to the citation format.
