As per the news report, Fluoride contamination had emerged as major menace in Telangana subsequently leading to contamination of the groundwater as highlighted by the Annual Ground Water Quality Report, 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Emphasising on the gravity of the issue, the petitioner thus filed a complaint seeking intervention of the NHRC and submitting that fluoride contamination of the groundwater poses severe health risks and despite government acknowledgment, effective measures to mitigate the crisis remain inadequate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Taking note of the issues raised in the complaint, the NHRC deemed it fit to forward the complaint to Secretary, Govt. of Telangana with directions to submit an Action Taken Report duly translated in English, within 4 weeks.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">[<span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #632423;\">Fluoride contamination in Telangana&#8217;s groundwater, In Re, Case No. 248\/36\/0\/2025, decided on 20-6-2025<\/span>]<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Advocates who appeared in this case:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 18pt;\">Advocate Y.
