Gavai, the Patron-in-Chief of NALSA and Justice Surya Kant, the Executive Chairman of NALSA and MCPC, launched a 90-day long <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">\u2018Mediation For the Nation&#8217;<\/span> Campaign\/Drive starting from 01-07-2025 and it will continue till 30-09-2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">According to the press release, this special pan-India mediation campaign would be organised with the objectives of settling suitable matters pending in the Courts, from the Taluka Courts to the High Courts, and taking mediation to every nook and corner of the country as a friendly mode of dispute resolution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The eligible categories of cases for mediation are<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> matrimonial disputes, accident claims, domestic violence, cheque bounce, commercial disputes, service matters, criminal compoundable matters, consumer disputes, debt recovery, partition, eviction, land acquisition, and other suitable civil matters.<\/span> The identified cases would be listed in the cause list under the heading <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;For Referral to the Special Mediation Drive&#8221;<\/span> and all such cases which have an element of settlement shall be referred for mediation in this drive. Mediation Settlement efforts will take place throughout the week, at the convenience of the parties.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The press release further stated that the process of case identification, information to parties, and referral to Mediators will take place in July, whereas four dates in August and September each have been identified as timelines for transmission of data regarding matters settled by mediation. These dates are 04-08-2025, 11-08-2025, 18-08-2025, 25-8-2025, 01-09-2025, 08-09-2025, 15-09-2025, and 22-09-2025. Transmission of data regarding total matters referred to mediation and total matters settled will be compiled by 06-10-2025 and sent to the MCPC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The special campaign intends to involve all existing Mediators, including those who have undergone 40 Hours of Mediation Training recently.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, to ensure the success of this special drive, the following features will also be incorporated:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Mediation may be conducted completely offline in physical mode, online mode, or Hybrid mode.<\/li>\n<li>Taluka or the District Legal Services Authority shall facilitate online mediation.<\/li>\n<li>It will be monitored by the Mediation Monitoring Committee of the High Courts in their respective State.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">In settlement efforts, the assistance of a counsellor and\/or subject matter expert shall be taken as per need.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Lastly, an intensive study by National Judicial Academy, Bhopal, on all aspects including impacts of the campaign in association with select NLUs has also been
