He also served as Country Head of Compliance and Operational Risk and Chief Compliance Officer for regulated businesses in India. He managed diverse products and asset classes within Global Banking and Markets and dealt with complex regulatory environments across major banking and securities regulators in Asia, besides executing a comprehensive compliance and operational Risk framework across his coverage.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Prior to joining BofA, Nishith has worked with Lehman Brothers, Kotak Mahindra group (JV with Goldman Sachs), and Edelweiss group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">With the addition of Nishith, CAM will focus deeply on addressing the regulatory and risk and compliance requirements of its financial sector clients. This move enables the firm to view the practice as a \u2018sector\u2019. The practice provides services including securities regulation, banking advisory for investigations, compliance and risk management, policy advisory, fraud management, inspections, and more. This team will integrate into the firm&#8217;s broader Financial Institution Group (FIG) which is a sector-focused practice. It has over 10 partners, 50 fee earners, and 10 former regulators, advisors and senior bankers, focusing on banks, specialty finance, asset managers, mutual funds, broker-dealers, intermediaries, insurance, fin-techs\/pay-techs, neo-banking, global technology platforms entering finance (tech-fins), International Financial Services Centres (IFSCA) (GIFT City), and advises on domestic and cross-border transactional, regulatory, policy and contentious aspects, including investigations, compliance, inspections, risk and fraud management.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Welcoming Nishith Mehta on board, Cyril Shroff, Managing Partner, Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas said, \u201c<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">I am delighted to have Nishith join CAM to drive the financial regulatory &amp; compliance practice.
