The Moot Court Committee of National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam<\/span> is organising the 6th Edition of the Gurjeet Singh Memorial Moot Court Competition from 6th – 8th June, 2025<\/span>, in collaboration with the Chambers of Abhinav Mishra as our Title Sponsor, Lexcuria Lawyers as our Industry Engagement Partner, and SCC Online and SCC Times as our Knowledge and Media Partners respectively.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE GURJEET SINGH MEMORIAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION<\/h3>\n

The Gurjeet Singh Memorial National Moot Court Competition is organised by the National Law University and Judicial Academy of Assam in memory of our beloved founder, Late Prof. (Dr.) Gurjeet Singh, who left for his heavenly abode on the 01-04-2017, out of indebtedness for his contribution and to symbolically immortalise his legacy in the annals of the National Law University and Judicial Academy of Assam.<\/p>\n

ABOUT THE UNIVERSITY<\/h3>\n

National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam<\/span> (NLUJAA) was established by the Government of Assam by way of the enactment of the National Law University and Judicial Academy, Assam Act, 2009<\/span> (Assam Act No. XXV of 2009).<\/p>\n

The Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court is the Chancellor of the University. NLUJAA promotes and makes available modern legal education and research facilities to its students, scholars, and faculty drawn from across the country, including the Northeast, hailing from different socio-economic, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds.<\/p>\n

ELIGIBILITY<\/h3>\n

The Competition is open to all students enrolled bona fide regularly in an undergraduate law course conducted by any recognised Institution\/College\/University. A recognised Institution\/College\/University shall be entitled to send only one team to the Competition. Each team shall comprise a minimum of two members and a maximum of three members.<\/p>\n
