On 20-5-2025, the President of India in exercise of power under Article 217(1)<\/a> of the Constitution<\/a>, appointed Justice Kempaiah Somashekar, Judge of the Karnataka High Court, as Chief Justice of the Manipur High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office, after retirement of Justice D. Krishna Kumar, who demits office on 21-5-2025.<\/p>\n
