{"id":347353,"date":"2025-05-08T12:30:17","date_gmt":"2025-05-08T07:00:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/?p=347353"},"modified":"2025-05-08T12:30:40","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T07:00:40","slug":"nalsa-announces-2nd-national-lok-adalat-2025-held-on-10-may-across-india-except-few-states-uts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2025\/05\/08\/nalsa-announces-2nd-national-lok-adalat-2025-held-on-10-may-across-india-except-few-states-uts\/","title":{"rendered":"NALSA announces 2nd National Lok Adalat for 2025 to be held on 10th May across India except few States and UTs"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The National Legal Services Authority (&#8216;NALSA&#8217;) announced that the 2nd National Lok Adalat(&#8216;NLA&#8217;) of the year 2025 was scheduled to be organised in the 28 States and Union Territories on 10-05-2025 by the Legal Services Authorities, under the aegis of the NALSA and the leadership of Sanjiv Khanna, CJI., and Patron-in-Chief of NALSA, and B.R. Gavai, CJI-Designate and Executive Chairman of NALSA.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">In a few States and UTs, where courts remain closed due to summer vacations, the NLA will be held on later dates, which are as follows:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">14-06-2025: Assam, Kerala, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu &amp; Telangana<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">21-06-2025: Andaman and Nicobar Islands<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">05-07-2025: Andhra Pradesh<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">12-07-2025: Gujarat and Karnataka<\/p>\n<p>The upcoming NLA will cover various types of disputes at both pre-litigation and pending stages. Some of these disputes are:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-roman;\">\n<li>\n<p>Criminal Compoundable Offenses,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Traffic Challans,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Plea Bargaining,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Revenue Cases,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Bank Recovery Matters,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Motor Accident Claims,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Cheque Dishonour Cases,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Labour Disputes,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Matrimonial Disputes (Excluding Divorce Cases),<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Land Acquisition Cases,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>IPR Matters,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Consumer Matters, and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Other Civil Cases.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-style: italic;\">The National Lok Adalat was introduced to encourage mutual settlement and offer an efficient, economical, and participatory mode of resolving disputes without prolonged litigation.
