Indraprastha Law Review (ILR) [ISSN: 2583-5653]<\/span> is an eco-friendly, multidisciplinary faculty run double peer-reviewed e-journal that publishes original articles in all branches of law,<\/span> along<\/span> with<\/span> separate<\/span> sections<\/span> devoted<\/span> to recent<\/span> developments<\/span> in the<\/span> legislative,<\/span> judicial<\/span><\/p>\n

and policy fields, case comments<\/span> and book<\/span> reviews. We abide by our publication policies<\/span> by avoiding usage of paper as much as possible. We have also made the Journal accessible to everyone from all over the world by simply visiting the official website of the e-journal i.e. www.indraprastha1awreview.in<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

ILR<\/span> aims<\/span> to<\/span> promote<\/span> legal<\/span> research<\/span> in<\/span> various<\/span> developing<\/span> dimensions<\/span> and<\/span> discourse<\/span> on<\/span> the<\/span> same.<\/span> It is double-blind peer reviewed with the fundamental premise being to promote interdisciplinary research, entailing a detailed study of law and legal studies and its<\/span> discourse with other disciplines. The biannual journal is being published with the objectives to provide a space to researchers, jurists, academicians and legal practitioners to express their views on topics of contemporary significance in law. The Journal is guided by an editorial committee comprising of experts from the legal field and an advisory board, consisting of legal scholars from around the world.<\/p>\n

About the Call for Papers<\/h3>\n

Indraprastha Law Review (ILR) is inviting submissions for Volume V, Issue I & II. Contributions to the Journal are welcome from all academicians, practitioners, and law students.<\/span><\/p>\n

ILR accepts submissions on a rolling basis, subject to the preference for publication in the upcoming issue granted for those submissions made before the prescribed date, i.e. 7th<\/span> May 2025.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We solicit contributions for the Summer and Winter<\/span> 2024: Vol. V Issue I & II<\/span> in<\/span> the form of article, legislative comment, book review and case comment.<\/p>\n

Theme for Volume VV: <\/span>The potential theme that can be addressed is “Contemporary Legal Issues”.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

    All entries by interested parties must be mailed to usllsiplr@ipu ac in<\/span> <\/span>by 11:59 PM, 7th<\/span> May 2025 <\/span>with the subject: ILR Summer And Winter 2024: Vol. V Issue I & II<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    with specifying the classification of manuscript i.e. Article<\/span>, Legislative Comment<\/span>, Book<\/span> Review<\/span>, Case Comment.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Contribution sent after the last date may be considered for Summer 2025: Vol. VI Issue<\/span> I subject to the quality of article and plagiarism clearance as per the UGC guidelines.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The<\/span> copyright<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> entry<\/span> to<\/span> the<\/span> e-Journal<\/span> will<\/span> rest<\/span> with<\/span> the<\/span> Editorial<\/span> Board<\/span> once<\/span> the<\/span> entry has been selected and the Author(s) of<\/span> the same have been notified.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The name of the Author(s) or any mode of identification should not be included in the manuscript. The cover letter should have the requisite contact details of the Author(s) along with an undertaking of originality and Copyright Form available on www.indraprasthalawreview.in<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The Citation pattern to be uniformly followed is Journal of the Indian Law Institute<\/span><\/p>\n

    Speaking<\/span> footnotes<\/span> are<\/span> discouraged.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The<\/span> entries<\/span> shall<\/span><\/span> be<\/span> accepted<\/span> only<\/span> in<\/span> MS<\/span> Word<\/span> (.doc<\/span>, .docx)<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Co-Authorship<\/span><\/span> of<\/span> one<\/span> person<\/span> other<\/span> than<\/span> the<\/span> author<\/span> is<\/span> allowed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The entries submitted shall be original and the plagiarism norms of the UGC shall be applicable to the submissions.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    There is no publication fee.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Text Format:<\/span> The length of the manuscript should not exceed 8000 words. Manuscripts shall be formatted according to the following guidelines.<\/p>\n

        It<\/span> shall<\/span> be<\/span> in<\/span> Microsoft<\/span><\/span> word<\/span> format<\/span> and<\/span> 1.5 line<\/span> spacing.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        All<\/span> citations<\/span> shall<\/span> be<\/span> placed<\/span> in<\/span> foot-notes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        All manuscripts<\/span> should<\/span><\/span> include<\/span> an introduction<\/span> and<\/span><\/span> conclusion.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Number<\/span> less<\/span> than<\/span> 100<\/span> shall<\/span> be<\/span> spelt<\/span> out<\/span><\/span> unless<\/span><\/span> they<\/span> are<\/span> a<\/span> percent<\/span> (e.g.<\/span>, 5<\/span> percent).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Italics<\/span> or<\/span> quotes<\/span> for<\/span> emphasizing<\/span><\/span> shall<\/span> be<\/span> used<\/span> very<\/span> sparingly.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Charts<\/span>, graphs<\/span>, etc.<\/span>, shall<\/span> be<\/span> used<\/span> very<\/span> sparingly.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Use<\/span> of<\/span> first<\/span><\/span> person<\/span> shall<\/span> be<\/span> avoided.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        All<\/span> pages<\/span> shall<\/span> be<\/span> numbered.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        It shall include an abstract of not more than 250 words, and are to be included with the formal draft of paper.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        Uniform<\/span> date<\/span> format<\/span> shall<\/span> be<\/span> used<\/span> (e.g.<\/span>,<\/span> August<\/span> 15<\/span>, 1947).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Use of Footnotes: <\/span>Indraprastha Law Review prefers footnotes (to endnotes) mainly because of the following reasons:<\/p>\n

          To<\/span> identify<\/span> the<\/span> source<\/span> of<\/span> quotations<\/span><\/span> or<\/span> paraphrases;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          To<\/span> acknowledge<\/span> indebtedness<\/span><\/span> for<\/span> words<\/span>, phrases<\/span> or<\/span> ideas<\/span> borrowed;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          To<\/span> explain<\/span> where<\/span> additional<\/span><\/span> evidence<\/span><\/span> or<\/span> commentary may<\/span> be<\/span> found;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          To<\/span> provide<\/span> additional material<\/span> or discussion that<\/span> is<\/span> relevant<\/span> but which<\/span> would<\/span> disrupt<\/span> the flow of<\/span> the text if it were included in the paper itself, and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          To<\/span> refer<\/span> the<\/span> reader<\/span> to<\/span> other<\/span> parts<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> paper<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        • \n

          To enable the reader to read the reference without having to turn to the end of the text<\/span> which<\/span> would<\/span> otherwise tend<\/span> to<\/span> disrupt<\/span> the<\/span> flow<\/span> of<\/span> the<\/span> text and<\/span> hamper<\/span> smooth<\/span> reading.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
