About University of Lucknow<\/h3>\n

The University of Lucknow was established in 1867 and is one of India’s oldest government-owned higher education institutions. It is affiliated with University Grants Commission (UGC); the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and Distance Education Council (DEC). The Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow has been a pioneering legal institution in India. It was founded in 1921 by three instructors. Mr. Jag Mohan Nath Chak was the first Head and Dean, moreover, Prof. R.U. Singh was the true architect, who structured teaching and research at the faculty in a methodical manner with considerable fervor and enthusiasm. He served as the Dean of the Faculty of Law until 1956 and established the Faculty of Law, Delhi University in addition to the Faculty of Law, Banaras Hindu University. He holds the distinction of having authored Nepal’s Constitution. With the efforts of these brilliant minds, the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow has gained immense heights.<\/p>\n

About Faculty of Law<\/h3>\n

The Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow is a pioneer legal institution in India. It was established in 1921 with three teachers. Mr. Jag Mohan Nath Chak was its first Dean. The real architect was Prof. R. U. Singh with great zeal and enthusiasm organized teaching and research in the faculty in a systematic way. He held the office of the dean, the faculty of Law till 1956. He also structured the Law Faculty of Delhi University and Law School, B.H.U. The distinction goes to him that he drafted the Constitution of Nepal. It is affiliated with University Grants Commission (UGC); the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), and the Distance Education Council (DEC). Dr. V. N. Shukla, the well-known authority on Constitutional Law was the first LL.M. of the University. His book on the Constitution is an authoritative Volume. Dr. A.T. Markos was the first LL.D. of the faculty. He also held the office of the Director, Indian Law Institute.<\/p>\n

Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial Lecture<\/h3>\n

To recognize Babasaheb’ s contribution to academia, 6th Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Memorial lectures are being organised on 14th April 2025. Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was a person with multiple talents as he was an educationist, jurist, and worked as a socio-political reformer. In free India, his contribution is precious in varied arenas and the list of his achievements is long. The lectures shall be delivered by eminent personalities, The lectures are open to the public from any stream. The lectures will be delivered in offline mode at Vishwakarma Hall, University of Lucknow Second Campus, Jankipuram. Refreshments will be provided to the Participants & Audience.<\/p>\n

National Article Writing Competition<\/h3>\n

Topics of Article Writing Competition:<\/p>\n

    Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and the Fight for Women’s Property Rights<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    The Relevance of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Ideals in Contemporary Feminism<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Rules:<\/h3>\n
      \n
    1. \n

      National Level Article Writing competition shall be organized in online mode and the last date for registration and Submission for same is 13 April 2025 (11:59 PM).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    2. \n

      The Entry Fee for the Article Writing Competition is 70 rupees for a Single Author and 100 rupees for a Co-author.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    3. \n

      The Article shall be written in English only.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    4. \n

      An article can be co-authored by a maximum of two participants.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    5. \n

      The word limit of the article should be 1200- 1500 words.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    6. \n

      Plagiarism of a maximum 10% will be allowed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    7. \n

      Guidelines for the article are as follows: Font -Times NewRoman Font, Line spacing: 1.5, size- 14, for titles Citation: Bluebook 19th Edition.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    8. \n

      The article will be evaluated on the basis of Grammar,<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    9. \n

      Understanding of the topic, Expression, Research, and Coherence.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Speech Competition<\/h3>\n

      Topic – The Evolution of Women ’s Rights in India: Constitutional Perspective<\/span><\/p>\n

      Rules:<\/h3>\n
        \n
      1. \n

        The competition is open to all interested participants.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      2. \n

        The Entry fee for the Speech Competition is 50 Rupees.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      3. \n

        Each participant will have a maximum of 3 minutes to deliver their speech.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      4. \n

        Exceeding the time limit may lead to disqualification or deduction of points.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      5. \n

        Language: Participants may choose to speak in English or Hindi.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      6. \n

        The speech must be original.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      7. \n

        Plagiarism or excessive reading from notes will resultin penalties.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      8. \n

        Participants will be judged based on content, clarity,confidence, delivery, and time management.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      9. \n

        Any offensive, disrespectful, or inappropriate contentwill lead to immediate disqualification.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        All participants must register by 12 April,2025.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        The judges’ decision will be final and binding.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Quiz Competition<\/h3>\n

        Theme of Quiz: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Literary Contributions<\/span><\/p>\n

        Venue: The quiz shall be conducted on 13th April 2025 offline at Juris Hall, University of Lucknow, Second Campus.<\/p>\n

        Rules:<\/h3>\n

        1. \n

          Participants are forbidden to use any search engine or any other extra printed\/non-printed material, which shall be ground for immediate disqualification.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        2. \n

          There will be two rounds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        3. \n

          First round: 50 Multiple Choice Questions in 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        4. \n

          Candidates qualifying First round will be forwarded to the final round.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        5. \n

          Final Round will be done through buzzer mode.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

        6. \n

          Top 5 participants of first round will be called for final round.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
