Day 1: 29-03-2025<\/h3>\n

The welcome and opening ceremony will be graced by various luminaries of the legal field namely, Ms.<\/span> Mamta Tiwari<\/span>, Advocate and Secretary General of the UIA; Mr. A.K. Ganguli<\/span>, Senior Advocate and President of the UIA; Mr. Kapil Sibal<\/span>, Senior Advocate & President of the Supreme Court Bar Association, New Delhi, India; and Mr. Prashant Kumar<\/span>, Advocate, President Bar Association of India, New Delhi. The Guests of Honour will be Justice Vibhu Bakhru<\/span>, Judge, High Court of Delhi and Mr. Tushar Mehta<\/span>, Solicitor General of India. The Chief Guest for this occasion will be Mr. Carlo Mastellone<\/span>, UIA President, Studio Legale Mastellone, Florence, Italy.<\/p>\n

Thereafter, the plenary session will be chaired by Mr. Tushar Mehta<\/span> and a keynote speech will be delivered by Mr. Piyush Goyal<\/span>, Minister for Commerce and Industry, Government of India.<\/p>\n

The first panel chaired by Justice (Retd.) Hrishikesh Roy<\/span>, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India would be shedding light on \u2018Foreign Direct Investment: Strategic Legal Considerations for Investors in India\u2019s Expanding Manufacturing Sector, International Trade Agreements, and BITs\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

The second panel titled \u2018Navigating the Indian M&A Landscape: Legal Considerations for Acquisitions in India\u2019s Manufacturing Sector\u2019<\/span> will be chaired by Justice Sanjay Karol<\/span>, Judge, Supreme Court of India.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, \u2018The Role of Finance, The Fight Against Financial Crime and PPPs For India’s Growth\u2019<\/span> will be discussed by a panel chaired by Justice K.V. Viswanathan<\/span>, Judge, Supreme Court of India.<\/p>\n

Mr. Clayton Cartwright<\/span>, President of the UIA Immigration and Nationality Law Commission; Managing Member, Cartwright Law Firm LLC, Columbus, GA, USA will be heading the fourth panel titled \u2018<\/span>The Global Marketplace for India\u2019s Manufactured Goods: Taxation and Immigration Challenges and Opportunities\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Day 2: 30-03-2025<\/h3>\n

Views would be expressed on \u2018Pitfalls of International Sales and Manufacturing Contracts: What to Consider When Selling Goods or Services to Foreign Partners?\u2019<\/span>, with opening remarks by Justice (Retd.) L. Nageswara Rao<\/span>, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India.<\/p>\n

Next session would open floor for \u2018Do\u2019s and Don\u2019ts for Drafting an Arbitration Agreement: Making Non-Signatories Party to Arbitration Proceedings\u2019<\/span>, with Justice Rajesh Bindal<\/span>, Judge, Supreme Court of India as chair.<\/p>\n

The final panel discussion would revolve around \u2018Non-Arbitrable Subject Matter: Fraud, Criminal Offences, Special Statutes That Establish Independent Regulators and\/or Tribunals with Exclusive Jurisdiction\u2019<\/span>, chaired by Justice Vibhu Bakhru<\/span>, Judge, High Court of Delhi and Chairperson, DIAC.<\/p>\n

Conclusively, the valedictory addresses will be delivered by Mr. Krishnan Venugopal<\/span>, Vice President, UIA India Chapter and National Representative of India, and Ms. Rachana Srivastava<\/span>, Senior Advocate & Vice President, Supreme Court Bar Association.<\/p>\n
