About Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU)<\/h3>\n

Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University (DSNLU) was established by the Government of Andhra Pradesh in 2008 with the mission of providing quality legal education and fostering academic excellence in legal research. About the Centre for Intellectual Property Rights & Technology (CIPR&T)<\/h3>\n

The Centre for Intellectual Property Rights & Technology (CIPR&T) was established at DSNLU in 2017 as a student-initiated and student-led body. It focuses on creating a platform for the creation, protection, analysis, valuation, licensing, education, and policy formulation in the field of IPRs and technology. The centre acts as a think tank that provides policy inputs on IPRs at national, regional, and international levels while conducting interdisciplinary research involving multiple stakeholders. CIPR&T also engages in capacity building by providing valuable insights on IPRs to policymakers and the judiciary.<\/p>\n

DSNLU Journal of Science, Technology & Law<\/h3>\n

The DSNLU Journal of Science, Technology & Law, published by CIPR&T, is a peer-reviewed, double-blind open-access journal that promotes scholarly discussion on contemporary issues related to intellectual property and technology. With an ISSN number of 2583-1208, the journal explores a wide spectrum of ideas within intellectual property law and technology, fostering dialogue across diverse domains. To date, it has published three volumes that contribute significantly to legal scholarship by addressing current trends and challenges in the field of IPR and technology law.<\/p>\n

About the Colloquium:<\/h3>\n

As Intellectual property (IP) law intersects increasingly with the Constitutional Principles, particularly in the realms of freedom of expression, right to privacy, and public interest, there emerges a need to balance protection of innovation with the Constitutional Rights. This event, titled <\/a>“Redefining IP and Privacy in an Accelerating Digital Landscape”<\/span>, will bring together experts in Constitutional Law, Intellectual Property, Technology and Criminal Law to discuss, how emerging technologies have reshaped traditional notions of IP rights, privacy protections, and crime. As digital innovation grows, so does the complexity of safeguarding individual and societal rights, which demands a nuanced understanding of both legal frameworks and the ethical imperatives underpinning them.<\/p>\n
