About CSLP<\/h3>\n

The Centre is part of the long-established tradition of NUJS to promote inter-disciplinary research and publication. The Centre has been established in the year 2019 under the able guidance of its Patron-in-Chief Prof. Nirmal Kanti Chakrabarti, Honourable Vice Chancellor of NUJS. It is his inspiration and encouragement that guides the Centre in conducting various programmes. The center in led and guided by its esteemed director, Prof. (Dr.) Lovely DasGupta. The Centre also validates NUJS’s stature as a leading institution in offering. CSLP aims to foster a culture of innovation and policy-making in the domain of Sports Law. CLSP encourages a discourse on contemporary and pressing issues in the world of sports and address them through a law and policy framework.<\/p>\n

About NUJS<\/h3>\n

The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences was established under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 (West Bengal Act IX of 1999) adopted by the West Bengal Legislature in July, 1999. NUJS is considered one of the best amongst the elite national law schools in India built on the five-year law degree model proposed and implemented by the Bar Council of India. The university offers a five-year integrated B.A.\/BSc. LLB (Hons.) degree programme at the undergraduate level and a Master of Laws (LLM) programme at the postgraduate level. The Chief Justice of India is the Chancellor of NUJS and is also the Chairman of the General Council, the supreme policy-making body of the University. Prof. (Dr.) Nirmal Kanti Chakrabarti is the Vice Chancellor of the University.<\/p>\n

About the Blog<\/h3>\n

The role of gender in sports has gained increased traction in recent years. The inclusion of transpersons and intersex individuals in sporting activities has led to a dialogue centering on gender normativity and the need for gender inclusion. In this light, the theme for the upcoming edition of the blog will be “Gender Dynamics in Sports: Navigating the Way Ahead”.<\/span> The indicative list of sub-themes has been provided<\/p>\n

    The word limit for the blogs will be 1000-1500 words<\/span>. All manuscripts must be shared by 11.59 PM on 10th March, 2025<\/span>. Any end notes used must follow the NUJS Law Review Citation Standard<\/span>. All manuscripts must be in MS Word format and should be sent to blogsandnewsletterscslp@gmail.com<\/a> with the subject line ‘SUBMISSION-CSLP BLOG’<\/span>. Manuscripts must contain original and unpublished content of the author\/s. Co-authorship of a maximum of 2 persons will be allowed. Submission can be in the form of opinions on the sub-themes or their interactions with related subjects.<\/p>\n

    The editorial team will review all submissions to check originality, quality, arguments, structure, and citations before publication, and they may be accepted or rejected on any of these grounds.<\/p>\n
