Kerala Court: First Additional District and Sessions Judge, Ernakulam<\/span> (‘Sessions Court’), acquitted Malayalam film actor Shine Tom Chacko and six others in a 2015 case registered under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985<\/a> (‘NDPS Act’).<\/p>\n

As per the allegation, on 30-01-2015, Shine Tom Chacko and other accused persons were arrested by the police in a raid conducted in an apartment. Subsequently, a case was registered at Kadavanthara Police Station under the NDPS Act. It was alleged that Shine Tom Chacko and other accused persons were smoking cigarettes smeared with cocaine and other narcotic substances use during a party.<\/p>\n

Thereafter, the accused persons were tried before the Sessions Court and subsequently, were acquitted on 11-02-2025.<\/p>\n
