About MNLU, Nagpur<\/h3>\n

Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur (MNLU Nagpur), established by the Government of Maharashtra in 2015, is a premier institution with a student-centric approach to legal education. The University began its academic activities on August 1, 2016, and currently offers a range of programs, including undergraduate degree courses such as B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), B.B.A.LL.B. (Hons.), and B.A.LL.B. (Honours in Adjudication and Justicing), all of which are five-year integrated degree programs. In addition, the University provides postgraduate programs like LL.M. and a doctoral program (Ph.D.). MNLU Nagpur is recognized under Section 12(B) of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, and by the Bar Council of India (BCI), New Delhi. It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, and the Consortium of National Law Universities of India, further cementing its commitment to excellence in legal education and research.<\/p>\n

About ADR Society<\/h3>\n

The ADR Society of MNLU Nagpur was established in 2018 to hone the interests and skills of students in the fields of Negotiation, Mediation & Arbitration. Under the aegis of the ADR Society, a variety of events such as seminars, workshops, guest lectures, panel discussions and ADR Competitions have been conducted. The Society has also successfully conducted two editions of our university’s flagship event. The first edition was conducted entirely online, while the second was held in a hybrid format. Both editions witnessed the participation of 32 teams across India. The Society has also hosted, the National Rounds of Louis M. Brown & Forrest S. Mosten International Client Consultation Competition, 2019.<\/p>\n

About the Competition<\/h3>\n

The ADR Society of Maharashtra National Law University, Nagpur takes pride in presenting the Third edition of flagship MNLU-N National Commercial Mediation Competition, 2025<\/span> on 8th<\/span> – 9th<\/span> of February 2025 and 22nd<\/span> – 23th<\/span> March 2025. as part of its contribution towards the development and promotion of ADR culture in India.<\/p>\n

With its foundational core emerging from the subjects of commercial law, the theme for this edition is based on nuances of Cyber, AI, IPR and Technology law. Participants will be challenged to showcase their knowledge and creativity in resolving a variety of disputes. The event will be a valuable learning experience for all participants, providing them with an opportunity to enhance their legal and negotiation skills while developing a deeper understanding of Cyber, AI, IPR and Technology law.<\/p>\n

The competition will feature 48 teams from law schools across the country. It shall be held in a hybrid format with its preliminary rounds happening online and advanced rounds taking place on campus (offline) with a gap of 5 weeks between the online rounds and offline rounds. The primary objective of this competition is to encourage and promote the spirit of amicable resolution of disputes by exploring innovative and commercially viable solutions<\/p>\n
