Indiamart Intermesh Limited, a leading B2B major, has announced the appointment of Mr. Manoj Bhargava, currently serving as Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, to the esteemed position of Executive Director on the Board with effect from January 21, 2025, for a term of 5 (five) consecutive years. This decision, approved by the Board of Directors based on the recommendations of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, marks a significant milestone in Mr. Bhargava’s professional journey.<\/p>\n

Mr. Bhargava, a qualified Company Secretary, was appointed as the Senior Vice President, Legal and Secretarial in 2017 and has played a pivotal role in driving the successful execution of critical corporate initiatives, including the Initial Public Offering (IPO), Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP), bonus issues, buybacks, acquisitions, and mergers, apart from his contribution towards setting up of compliance mechanism and strengthen in-house legal function<\/p>\n

Under Mr. Bhargava’s legal leadership, the company has established a robust compliance framework which has strengthened the Company’s legal capabilities. His efforts have ensured strict adherence to regulatory requirements and the adoption of best practices in corporate governance, thereby supporting the Company in achieving its long-term strategic objectives and goals. Beyond his legal acumen, Mr. Bhargava has been at the forefront of Indiamart’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives, spearheading impactful programs that have made a meaningful difference in underserved communities.<\/p>\n

Mr. Bhargava has extensive experience of 25 years in Legal, Secretarial, and Compliance functions. He holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce and a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in law. He also holds a Postgraduate diploma in IPR Laws and a PG diploma in Cyber Laws.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining Indiamart, Mr. Bhargava held senior leadership roles with renowned organisations such as Varun Beverages Limited (RJ Corp Group), HT Media Limited (Hindustan Times Group), Barista Coffee Company Limited, and India Today Group. His distinguished career and contributions have earned him multiple accolades, including recognition in the prestigious Forbes India Top Legal Powerlist as the Top General Counsel from 2021 to 2023.
