Supreme Court:<\/span> While considering the instant appeal revolving around earmarking the post of Treasurer and some Members in the Executive Committee, exclusive for women candidates in the High Court\/District Bar Associations of the NCT of Delhi; the Division Bench of Surya Kant and N. Kotiswar Singh, JJ., directed that the interim aforesaid directions issued to the Bar Council of Delhi shall also apply mutatis mutandis<\/span> to the office-bearers of NGT Bar Association as well. It was further directed that the required procedure is to be followed and the reservation for women candidates should be accordingly provided in the Election of NGT Bar Association as well.<\/p>\n

The Court further directed that condition of requirement of enrollment with Delhi Bar Council alone shall not apply in the case of NGT Bar Association since the NGT Bar Association comprises of the Advocates registered with various Bar Councils throughout the Country.<\/p>\n

With the afore-stated directions, the Court listed the matter on 3-3-2025.<\/p>\n
