We extend our invitation to law students (both postgraduates and undergraduates), professionals, lecturers, policy makers and others to send in their write-ups on contemporary issues of law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The KSLR&#8217;s Volume XII would highlight the contemporary legal issues from area of laws which are giving impetus to deliberation amongst the legal fraternity.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">We strongly emphasize originality and analytical rigor in submissions, encouraging authors to present work that offers novel perspectives and in-depth analysis.<\/p>\n<h3>SUBMISSION CATEGORIES:<\/h3>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Articles (5000 &#8211; 7000 words exclusive of footnotes)<\/span> &#8212; An article should provide an in-depth study in the contemporary legal issue. We intend to incorporate critical analysis and original assertions on the contemporary issue the author(s) chooses to pursue.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Short Articles (3000 &#8211; 5000 words exclusive of footnotes)<\/span> &#8212; A short article should include condensed study in the contemporary legal issue. The nature of the writing should be analytical in nature containing informed comments on any new ideas and perspectives.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Book Reviews (1200 &#8211; 1500 words exclusive of footnotes)<\/span> &#8212; A book review should incorporate critical examination of a book pertaining to law, published two years preceding the release of the current issue of KSLR. All book reviews must assess the ideas promoted by the author from the perspectives of originality, extent of analysis, and quality.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Case Comments (2500 &#8211; 4000 words exclusive of footnotes)<\/span> &#8212; A case comment should include an interpretation of any landmark judicial pronouncement in any contemporary legal issue. Brief information regarding how the case impacts and interacts with existing laws will be appreciated.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Legislative Briefs (maximum 2500 words exclusive of footnotes)<\/span> &#8212; A legislative briefs should determine the implications of any existing or proposed Indian legislation (both Central\/State). Author(s) may focus on any specific section\/s or present an overview of the legislation.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:<\/h3>\n<p>Submissions to the KSLR Volume XII should adhere to the following guidelines:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>All articles and short articles must be accompanied by an abstract not exceeding 300 words.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The submissions are to be made only in Microsoft Word Format (.docx or .doc files) by filling out the following Google Form: <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/a282e8SdHPyQFARv9\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/a282e8SdHPyQFARv9<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The word limits are exclusive of footnotes. Only footnotes are to be used; no end-notes or bibliography are allowed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The Harvard Bluebook, 21<span style=\"vertical-align: super;\">st<\/span> edition is the style which is to be strictly adhered to for citations. The author(s) can find the Harvard Bluebook citation guide <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1mP-iAsSvZZDSqQXp_VUC-LEtdHwxKx1u\/view?usp=share_link\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Body Text of the submissions shall be formatted in Normal with case size 12 in Times New Roman and a Justified Alignment having a 1.5 line spacing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Author(s) are encouraged to refer to this <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1fxAKpvGtngwYKosU-y6AE87cPBEFzw2_\/view?usp=share_link\" target=\"_blank\">Style Guide<\/a> for a better understanding of what we expect. This guide serves as a valuable resource for author(s) to align their submissions with our publication standards.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>To ensure academic integrity, all submissions will be subjected to both AI detection and plagiarism checks. Papers that demonstrate substantial reliance on AI writing tools or exhibit significant instances of plagiarism shall not be considered for publication.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Co-authorship is permissible up to a maximum of two.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The submissions will undergo a double blind peer-review process, therefore the author(s) shall not disclose their identities anywhere in the body of the manuscript.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Editorial Board holds the power to disqualify any author&#8217;s work which is in non-compliance to these guidelines. Additionally, the Board holds the final copyright and all other rights regarding the work that is published, after receiving approval for publication and transfer of such rights from the author(s).<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Upon submission, author(s) must declare that their work has not been published elsewhere and has not been submitted for publication elsewhere. This declaration is to be made in the Google Form itself by clicking &#8220;I agree&#8221; in the designated area. For any issues arising in contravention of this declaration, the KSLR and the Editorial Board shall not be liable. The author shall be personally liable for any actions or omissions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Each published paper will be featured in the KSLR&#8217;s Volume XII. The authors whose papers are published will each receive a soft copy of the Review, mailed to the address they provide along-with the copyright confirmation on selection of their paper as and when intimated to them.<\/p>\n<h3>DEADLINE:<\/h3>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The deadline for submitting papers to the KSLR for consideration in its Volume XII is <span style=\"font-weight:
