About The Society<\/h3>\n

Society for Insolvency Bankruptcy and Restructuring Laws was formed to discuss the legal, socio-economic and business issues related to the field of Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Restructuring on a national and international level. The Society aims to update the community at large, with the latest developments in these fields via society’s blog posts, newsletters, online talks, workshops, and short interviews of experts on contemporary developments in the field of Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Restructuring laws.<\/p>\n

About NUJS<\/h3>\n

The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata, is one of the three national law schools in India, alongside GNLU and NLSIU Bengaluru, to have the Honourable Chief Justice of India as its Chancellor, lending it a rare prestige. This stature is further enhanced by the leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Nirmal Kanti Chakrabarti as our Vice-Chancellor, whose vision drives the academic and institutional excellence. Complementing this is the guidance of Prof. Shouvik Kumar Guha as the Faculty Advisor of the society, fostering innovation and critical thinking among students. Established under the five-year law degree model introduced by the Bar Council of India, NUJS is among India’s premier national law schools, offering a five-year integrated B.A.\/B.Sc. LL.B. (Hons.) programme at the undergraduate level and an LL.M. at the postgraduate level.<\/p>\n

About the Newsletter<\/h3>\n

SIBRL hereby invites contributions to its 3rd edition of the SIBRL-NUJS Newsletter<\/span>, that aims to contain a glimpse of the legal developments in the discipline of Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Restructuring laws, both in India and abroad. This includes (but does not limit to) new amendments, judgments, regulations, rules, and orders, relevant to the field of Insolvency, Bankruptcy, or Restructuring.<\/p>\n

The newsletter aims to update the community at large with the contemporary issues in this field, which would lead to more informed discussions and, thereby, facilitate the emergence of new ideas and perspectives in the field of Insolvency.<\/p>\n
