About the Organisers<\/h3>\n

The National Law Institute University, Bhopal (NLIU)<\/span>, established in 1997, has consistently been accredited as one of the leading legal institutions of the country. The Moot Court Association (‘MCA’)<\/span> is one of the oldest student-bodies at NLIU; established in 2002. The MCA is responsible for all the mooting and allied activities like client counselling competitions. For the eleventh<\/span> edition of the NLIU National Corporate Law Moot, we have VKC Law Offices<\/span> as the Joint Organizer of the Moot. VKC Law Offices, based in New Delhi, led by Mr. Varun Kumar Chopra<\/span> (Advocate on Record, Supreme Court of India<\/span>), is a well-established legal firm with a strong focus on diverse areas of litigation and arbitration. We are also honoured to have Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas<\/span>, one of India’s leading law firms, as our Law Firm Partner<\/span>. Further, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs<\/span> (IICA) is the official Knowledge Partner<\/span>. We also have SCC Online<\/span>, a comprehensive database for legal research, as the official Research Partner<\/span> of the competition and SCC Times<\/span> as the Media partner<\/span>.<\/p>\n

About the Competition<\/h3>\n

With 10 successful editions, the NLIU National Corporate Law Moot is one of the oldest and most reputed corporate law based moots in India. The MCA takes immense pleasure in announcing the eleventh<\/span> edition of the NLIU – VKC Law Offices National Corporate Law Moot, 2025<\/span>, scheduled to take place from 31st<\/span> January — 02nd<\/span> February, 2025<\/span> in the campus of NLIU, Bhopal.<\/p>\n

The moot will have memorial qualification rounds for all the registered teams. The top 14 teams to score the highest marks in their respective memorials would be invited to compete in the oral rounds of the competition. The oral rounds shall be held from 31st<\/span> January — 02nd<\/span> February, 2025 with each team having to participate in two preliminary rounds. The top 4 teams based on the scores of the preliminary rounds shall participate in the Advanced Rounds of the competition.<\/p>\n

Eligibility<\/h3>\n

The competition is open to all law students enrolled in a 5-year integrated law course or a 3-year LLB program.<\/p>\n

Theme<\/h3>\n

The moot proposition for this edition will be based on Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.<\/p>\n

Prizes<\/h3>\n

All teams participating in the memorial qualification rounds of the moot will receive certificates of participation. The following prizes will be awarded to recognize outstanding performance in the moot:<\/p>\n

Winners<\/span>: Rs 50,000 cash prize and Internship Opportunities at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas, along with a trophy, certificates of merit and three one-year complimentary subscriptions to SCC Online Web Edition worth Rs. 27,000 each<\/p>\n

Runners-Up<\/span>: Rs. 30,000 cash prize along with a trophy and certificates of merit<\/p>\n

Best Speaker<\/span>: Rs. 10,000 cash prize along with an award and a certificate of merit<\/p>\n

Best Memorial<\/span>: An award and certificates of merit<\/p>\n
