The provisions came into force on 25-10-2024.<\/p>\n<h3>Key Points:<\/h3>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Applicability:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>property managers who intend to get their property, of minimum specified size, rated for digital connectivity, either voluntarily or under the provisions of applicable laws, rules or regulations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>digital connectivity rating agencies;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>the service providers, who enter an arrangement with the property manager for development or access of digital connectivity or digital connectivity infrastructure.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Categories of properties for evaluation and assessment of digital connectivity:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Category A:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>\n<p>Residential;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Government properties;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Commercial Establishments;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Category B:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\">\n<li>\n<p>Other private or public areas;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Stadiums or Spot Arenas or spaces of frequent gatherings;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Transport corridors.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Registration of Digital Connectivity Rating Agency:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Entity will have to make an application to TRAI for grant of registration on the rating platform;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>An incomplete application or an application which does not conform to the<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"> eligibility criteria<\/span> can be rejected by TRAI;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Before rejection, the applicant will be given 30 days to rectify the deficiency which can be extended to 60 days if TRAI consider appropriate;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Eligibility Criteria:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Is registered as a company under the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002766251\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Companies Act, 2013<\/a> or is a registered Limited Liability Partnership;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Has minimum 2 years of experience in setting up in-building solutions or assessment of quality of service of telecommunication networks or installation or maintenance of telecommunication networks;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Has adequate professional experience in telecom, civil and electrical domain, to the satisfaction of TRAI, to meet obligations under the regulations and the rating framework;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>has a valid ISO certified quality management system in its organization or submits an undertaking to get it within 1 year of the grant of registration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Conditions of registration of Digital Connectivity Rating Agency (&#8216;DCRA&#8217;):<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>Where there is any change in the information or particulars after the DCRA has submitted the application for registration\/ grant of registration, DCRA will have to inform TRAI of this change within 60 days;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Where DCRA has proposed a change in its management, TRAI has to intimated 15 days prior to date of effect of such change;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-style: italic;\">These
