nominee arbitrator <\/span><span class=\"s4\">in a Bilateral-Investment Tr<\/span><span class=\"s4\">eaty <\/span><span class=\"s4\">(<\/span><span class=\"s4\">\u201cBIT\u201d) a<\/span><span class=\"s4\">rbitration between <\/span><span class=\"s5\">CTF Holdings SA<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">v<\/span> <span class=\"s5\">Ukraine<\/span><span class=\"s6\">.<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> \u00a0<\/span><span class=\"s4\">Mr Banerji has been appointed by the Claimant, i.e., <\/span><span class=\"s5\">CTF Holdings<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">an entity from Luxemburg,<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> as its nominee<\/span><span class=\"s4\">.<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">The <\/span><span class=\"s4\">BIT<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> Arbitration<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">has been instituted before the <\/span><span class=\"s8\">International Centre for Settlement of Investment Dispute<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">(\u201cICSID\u201d)<\/span><span class=\"s4\">.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"s12\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s4\">Mr Banerji is the second Indian after late Fali Nariman to have been appointed as an arbitrator in an<\/span><span class=\"s4\"> Investor-State dispute<\/span> <span class=\"s4\">under the <\/span><span class=\"s4\">aegis <\/span><span class=\"s4\">of <\/span><span class=\"s11\">ICSID<\/span><span class=\"s4\">.<\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s13\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"s12\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"s12\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s4\">Note:\u00a0 <\/span><span class=\"s4\">India is not a signatory to the ICSID Convention<\/span><span class=\"s4\">. <\/span><\/div>\n<div class=\"s9\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span class=\"s4\">The ICSID is part of a structure of the World Bank Group and the ICSID <\/span><span class=\"s4\">Convention is a treaty ratified by 158 Contracting States. <\/span><span class=\"s4\">It entered into force on October 14, 1966, 30 days after ratification by the first 20 States.<\/span><\/div>\n<p class=\"s16\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span
