The Policy Debate is a distinguished panel discussion focusing on a specific contemporary issue, with this year’s theme being ‘Same-Sex Marriage.’ The event features thought leaders and experts engaging in a rigorous debate, while the audience observes and gains insights into the multifaceted dimensions of the topic.<\/p>\n

The topic for the same is “Marriage Equality: A Relook on same sex unions”<\/p>\n

    Adv Aabha Singh-<\/span> Adv. Abha Singh is a dedicated advocate, social activist, and former bureaucrat, recognized for her commitment to justice and equality. She empowers women in rural India, focusing on financial inclusion and skill development<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Mr Anish Gawande –<\/span> Anish Gawande is a prominent writer and curator specializing in the intersection of culture, technology, and politics.He founded Pink List India, the first archive of politicians supporting LGBTQ+ rights.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    Sr Adv. Raju Ramachandran-<\/span> Raju Ramachandran (1954) was Additional Solicitor General of India from 2002 to 2004.Was an amicus curiae in the case of Gujrat riots and ajmal kasab. He appeared for some petitioners in the same sex marriage case<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Dr. Aqsa Shaikh-<\/span> Dr. Aqsa Shaikh (She\/Her) is one of India’s first transgender doctors and a Professor at Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi. She leads the iHEAR initiative at Sangath India, advocating for the inclusion of transgender and disabled communities in healthcare.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    Adv. Suraj Sanap-<\/span> Suraj Sanap is a prominent advocate and legal officer at the Lawyers Collective actively involved in advocating against against archaic laws regarding homosexuality<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
