150%;\">\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Supreme Court:<\/span> The 3-Judge Bench of Dr DY Chandrachud, CJ, JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, JJ., on 30-9-2024, issued interim order to the State of Patna to release pending salary of Justice Rudra Prakash Mishra of Patna High Court.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The aggrieved High Court Judge had approached the Supreme Court stating that he had not received any salary since his appointment on 4-11-2023 (ten months) due to the absence of a General Provident Fund (GPF) account.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Taking strict note of the matter, the Bench observed that &#8220;<span style=\"font-style: italic;\">No judge can be expected to work without payment of salary&#8221;<\/span>; and therefore, directed the State to pay all pending salaries and arrears from the date Justice Mishra was entitled and to open a temporary General Provident Fund
