On 12-9-2024, the Prasar Bharati, Broadcasting Corporation of India, notified the Prasar Bharati Recruitment Board (Procedure and Conduct of Business) Regulations, 2024<\/span>. The provisions came into force on 13-9-2024.<\/p>\n

Key Points:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n

    The Recruitment Board<\/span> (‘Board’) will nominate the Member Secretary from amongst its members to carry out its day-to-day activities and responsibilities as following:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      Coordinating and convening the meetings of the Board;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Will preside over the meetings of the Board in the absence of the Chairperson having the same powers.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      Meetings of Recruitment Board:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • \n

        Will be held on regular intervals which should not be less than 6 meetings every year;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        The date, time, place will be fixed by the Secretariat in consultation with Chairperson or Member Secretary;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        The notice for the meeting will be issued by the Secretariat.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        The list of the business that needs to be taken up in any matter will be prepared by the Secretariat of the Board.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        The quorum necessary for transaction of business should have the majority of Members including the Chairperson. In case the requirement of quorum is not met, the Chairperson or the Member Secretary will have to adjourn or suspend the meeting until there is a quorum.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

      • \n

        All the matters will be decided by a majority of votes, by voice or show of hands of the Members present and voting.<\/p>\n

        In case of a tie, the second vote of the Chairperson or Member Secretary will be the casting vote.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
