Markanda Chair on Alternative Dispute Resolution<\/span> is organizing an <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Online Certificate Course in Sports Law &amp; Dispute Resolution<\/span> commencing from October 2024. The course is a three-month program which has to be completed within one year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">ABOUT RGNUL<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law (RGNUL), Punjab<\/span> was established by the State Legislature of Punjab by passing the Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab Act, 2006 (Punjab Act No. 12 of 2006). The Act incorporated a University of Law of national stature in the State of Punjab with the key objective to evolve and impart comprehensive legal education including distant and continuing legal education at all levels to achieve excellence. The institution&#8217;s endeavour is to serve the society through reforms in legal services by way of preparing professionally competent lawyers, inquisitive researchers, able administrators, conscientious judicial officers, and above all, socially responsible citizens, who shall be whole- heartedly and continuously engaged in the process of nation building.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">ABOUT THE CENTRE<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (CADR)<\/span> was established in RGNUL in 2018. From the beginning to its 6th year of operation, CADR has always aimed to promote students&#8217; and researchers&#8217; interest in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms. The ultimate objective of the Centre is to strengthen the ADR process in the country by emerging as a platform for students to further their interests in the field. A strong team of teachers and students is working towards achieving this end.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">ABOUT THE Dr. P.C. MARKANDA CHAIR<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Late Adv. Dr. P.C. Markanda Chair was one of the leading arbitration lawyers in India. He was popularly known as the Father of the Arbitration, RGNUL has set up Dr. P.C. Markanda Chair of ADR to carry forward his legacy and vision.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">ABOUT THE COURSE<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Online Certificate Course in Sports Law &amp; Dispute Resolution is an intensive program designed to equip participants with the ability to navigate dispute resolution in the sports industry both at national and international level. It seeks to identify the challenges faced by this upcoming multi-billion-pound industry and find solutions for the said problems.
