Manan Lahoty<\/span> will be joining Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas as a Partner and Head of Capital Markets practice, along with a 48 member team of 8 partners and 40 associates.<\/p>\n

Manan is well-respected for his legal expertise and has advised on some of the largest and prestigious Indian transactions in the domestic and international capital markets. He is qualified to practice in both England and Wales, and India. He has been consistently recognised as a leading capital markets lawyer in India and included in the top tier lawyers list by several independent surveys and directories.<\/p>\n

    Yash J. Ashar<\/span>, who has recently been promoted to a cohort of Senior Partners at the firm with effect from April 1, 2024 will continue to be an integral and core part of the capital markets partners bench of CAM. He will also be member of the firms Partnership Council (managing committee), handling client matters and managing key relationships of the firm within capital markets, besides supporting Manan initially with the transition.<\/p>\n

    On his joining Manan Lahoty<\/span> presumptive Head of the Capital Markets practice at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas said, “Coming together of top two teams on such a massive scale is unprecedented.     With this significant addition, CAM’s single integrated capital markets practice would collectively comprise of over 130 lawyers across levels including 16 partners and growing.<\/p>\n

    In May 2024, 7 of the equity partners of over 23 years of practice including Yash Ashar (others being L. Viswanathan, Reeba Chacko, Nivedita Rao, Santosh Janakiram, Akila Agrawal and Ravindra Bandhakavi) were designated as part of a cohort of Senior Partners of the Firm who would play a broader role beyond their existing practice areas. While they continue to be execution partners in their practices and relationship managers for their respective clients, the newly minted Senior Partners would also have a firm level role cutting across practices and locations. Yash, along with Nivedita Rao and Santosh Janakiram were also inducted into the Firm’s governing body viz the Partnership Council (the managing committee), joining Managing Partner Cyril Shroff, and Partners Vandana Shroff, L.
