As part of the broader HNLU Health Shield Initiative, Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur introduced HNLU-Menstrual Leave Policy from the academic year of 2024-25 on 18.07.2024 which shall have effect from 01.07.2024.<\/p>\n

This policy aims at providing for special assistance of compensatory attendance during the menstrual cycle. Such assistance will mitigate the health-related difficulty in attending classes during the menstrual period.<\/p>\n

Under this policy, the eligible students may claim one day of Deemed Attendance per calendar month during teaching days. Special leave provisions have also been included in the Policy for Students with irregular menstruation syndromes or disorders, such as PCOS, who can claim deemed attendance for six classes per subject per semester without the monthly limitation, upon submission of a certificate issued by the University Doctor.<\/p>\n

Under this policy a Grievance Redressal Mechanism is also provided for addressing complaints related to the denial or misuse of attendance make-up provisions. Firstly, the Student Welfare Officer (SWO) reviews any grievances submitted in writing by aggrieved students, including reasons and supporting documents. The SWO is required to decide on these grievances within seven days after hearing the concerned student. If the student is dissatisfied with the decision, they can appeal to the Competent Authority within five working days. The decision made by the Competent Authority is final and binding.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
