Rajasekhar Mantha, J., directed the West Bengal government to ensure one per cent reservation for transgender persons in all public employment noting the policy of equal treatment in employment for transgenders adopted by the State, emphasizing the need for reservation in accordance with the Supreme Court&#8217;s 2014 ruling.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Thus, the Court underscored the importance of implementing the Supreme Court&#8217;s directives to treat transgender individuals as socially and educationally backward citizens.
