However, in May 2024, the number of Judges in the Supreme Court dwindled further to 32 as Justice A.S. Bopanna retired on 18-05-2024 right before the commencement of summer vacations from 20-05-2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/blog\/post\/2024\/05\/18\/know-your-judge-supreme-court-justice-a-s-bopanna-retirement-legal-news-updates\/\">Upholding a Legacy of Compassion and Cool Temperament, Justice A.S.
