It strives to uphold and protect the rights of the labourers and their families thereby ensuring them a life of human dignity. The Centre also makes an effort to sensitize the labourers about their rights, which are enshrined in the Constitution of India and other legislations as well. In addition to it, the Centre makes an effort to impart education to the children of labourers in the University campus and makes them aware about their fundamental right to education thereby, making their parents realize their duty towards their children. The basic aim behind the establishment of the Centre is to spread awareness about the welfare and empowerment of the labourers. Besides, the Centre organizes workshops, seminars and essay writing competitions on the problems of labourers of organized and unorganised sector. The Centre also recognizes the national and international issues concerning the promotion and protection of human rights and human dignity of labourers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ABOUT THE CONTRACT DRAFTING COMPETITION<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The 1st Contract Drafting Competition,2024 aims to enhance understanding of practical aspects of contract law. Participants in the competition will be tasked with drafting a contract based on the Contract Proposition, illustrating a legal relationship between two entities. In addition to the agreement itself, participants must provide a &#8216;Concept Note&#8217; explaining the reasoning behind their chosen clauses.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">IMPORTANT DATES<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 18pt;\">Deadline for the registration of the competition: 15th June 2024<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 18pt;\">Deadline for the submission of final draft for the contract drafting competition: 20th July 2024<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">Declaration of results: 1st August 2024<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">ELIGIBILITY<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The competition is open to avid researchers and students enrolled in the Undergraduate or Post Graduate Programs in law i.e. 3-year LL.B. course\/ 5-year LL.B. course\/ LL.M. course etc.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">SUBMISSION GUIDELINES<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p>The manuscripts shall be in the English language only.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Co-authorship is not allowed.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The name and institution of the author(s) shall not be mentioned in the body of the submission.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Any form of plagiarism is strictly prohibited and the submission shall be original, unpublished, and an outcome of the author&#8217;s own efforts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The author(s) bear sole responsibility for the accuracy of facts, opinions, and views stated in the submission.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">DRAFT GUIDELINES<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: upper-alpha;\">\n<li>\n<p>Participants are encouraged to draft using plain English and avoid the use of unnecessary legalese. Participants are further encouraged to use modern contract drafting techniques.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The Drafts must adhere to the following format:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: lower-alpha;\">\n<li>\n<p>Font should be Times New Roman<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Font Size should be 12 points.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The text should be Justified with 1.5 line spacing.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Page Limit of the Draft should not be more than 5 pages<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">JUDGING CRITERIA<\/p>\n<p>Your submissions will be judged on the basis of following parameters:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p>Language of
