PMLA Court:<\/span> In a bail application filed by former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren accused in the Land Scam Case, the Special Court has refused to grant him bail. Hemant Soren, who has been detained at Birsa Munda Central Jail since 01-02-2024 in connection with the Land Scam case, contended during the bail application that the charges against him were politically motivated.<\/p>\n

The Special Court considered the opposing argument presented by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) opposing the bail application, asserting that granting bail to Hemant Soren would not serve the cause of justice. The ED highlighted Soren’s significant influence and his lack of cooperation during the investigation as factors weighing against his release.<\/p>\n
