\n

On 22-4-2024, the High Court of Delhi, New Delhi issued the e-True Copy Rules of the High Court of Delhi, 2024<\/span> applicable to the electronic applications made for obtaining an e-True Copy generated from the available Digitized record. The provisions came into force on 22-4-2024.<\/p>\n

Applicability:<\/span> High Court and the district courts under the supervision of the High Court.<\/p>\n

Key Points:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. \n

    Applications will be made only through the official web portal or mobile application of the High Court\/ District Court.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  2. \n

    Only 1 such application can be made by a party at a given time.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  3. \n

    In case where the web portal\/ mobile application is not accessible, application can be made at the designated counters of the respective courts.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  4. \n

    In case where the e-True copy of the Digitized record is a heavy file which cannot be shared through electronic mode, the Authorized officer can opt for any other mode and inform the applicant to furnish an electronic storage device.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  5. \n

    In cases where the Digitized record is not available, the electronic application for e-True copy will be treated as the one for physical certified copy and the dealing official will inform the applicant about the same.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    The application will stand disposed on expiry of 10 days, if the applicant fails to deposit the fee for physical certified copy.<\/p>\n

    Exemptions-<\/span> applicant is a person with disability or not residing in Delhi.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  7. \n

    The application should be filed according to the procedure prescribed in the e-Filing Rules of the High Court of Delhi, 2021.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  8. \n

    On scrutiny of the electronic applications, if the Authorized officer finds any objections, it will be communiacted to the applicant through electronic mode.<\/p>\n

    The application will lapse if the applicant fails to remove the objections within 10 working days.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  9. \n

    The Authorized officer can reject the applications<\/span> in the following cases:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • \n

      If the application is applied by a stranger who has no right to obtain the application;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      If the disclosure of the information is incorrect in the application.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

    • \n

      No fee<\/span> will be levied for supply of e-True copy.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
