Supreme Court:<\/span> In a special leave petition against the judgment of Delhi High Court, wherein the Court directed Registrar General, Delhi High Court to award the petitioner marks in Delhi Judicial Services Exam-2023, even when she did not file an objection to the question, the division bench of Hrishikesh Roy and Prashant Kumar Mishra, JJ. has dismissed the petition of the Registrar General, Delhi High Court.<\/p>\n

In this case, question no. 54 of Booklet A has been changed by the High Court on the petition of the Candidate who was short of .50 marks in the preliminary examination result. Therefore, the High Court directed Registrar General, DHC to award 1 mark for the said question to the Petitioner.<\/p>\n

The Delhi High Court opined that a relief given to any candidate would inure ordinarily in favour of all candidates, and the objections once taken by any candidate attain universality. The purpose of affording candidates the opportunity to file objections was salutary, as it allowed the Delhi High Court to take corrective measures in the larger interest of candidates and move away from a possible unfair result.<\/p>\n
