Participate, learn, and embark on a journey towards becoming a competent and socially conscious legal professional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ABOUT THE 1<span style=\"vertical-align: super;\">ST<\/span> NATIONAL MOOT COURT COMPETITION, 2024<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The inaugural National Moot Court Competition at Himgiri Zee University, Dehradun organized by the Moot Court Society within the School of Legal Studies, promises to a be a landmark event in the realm of legal education. This competition stands as a testament to the university&#8217;s commitment to fostering a dynamic of the law among it&#8217;s students. The competition is designed to simulate real-life courtroom scenarios, allowing participants to argue complex legal issues before experienced judges. Moreover, the National Moot Court Competition at Himgiri Zee university serves as a networking hub for participants, offering them the chance to interact with like-minded peers and legal professionals. Also, the investment in facilities reflects the university&#8217;s understanding of the importance of practical exposure in legal education.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">THE MOOT PROPOSTION<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Human rights law encompasses a body of international law, treaties, conventions, and agreements that protect and promote the fundamental rights and freedom of individuals. These rights include civil, political, economic, social, and cultural rights. Key documents include the Universal Declaration of human rights, the international covenant on economic, social and cultural rights, among others. They aim to ensure dignity, equality, and justice for all the people, regardless of their nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, or other status.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ELIGIBILITY<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Aspiring Law Students pursuing five-year integrated undergraduate law program or three-year graduate law program are eligible to register for the competition. The team must comprise 3 members (two speakers and one researcher).
