In this regard, submissions, under different categories, are invited from interested faculty members, research scholars, judges, Legal and IT professionals, and students. <span style=\"font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;\">The last date for submission of contribution is March 25<span style=\"vertical-align: super;\">th<\/span>, 2024<\/span>. Selection of entries shall be based on double-blind peer review. Queries about submission of papers and related matters may be directed to <a href=\"mailto:editorjcls@hpnlu.ac.in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">editorjcls@h<\/span><\/a><a href=\"mailto:editorjcls@hpnlu.ac.in\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">pnlu.ac.in<\/span><\/a>. Submission shall be accepted only through email, and the same needs to be captioned as &#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Submission to HPNLU-JCLS&lt;Title of Contribution&gt;<\/span>&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ABOUT THE JOURNAL<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">HPNLU Journal of Cyber Laws and Security (JCLS)<\/span> is an annual double-blind peer-reviewed journal of the <span style=\"font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;\">Centre for Cyber Laws and Security<\/span>, <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Himachal Pradesh National Law University, Shimla.<\/span> The Journal aims to promote a robust platform for legal minds, such as academicians, professionals, practitioners and researchers all over the country, to showcase their critical thinking and analytical abilities in order to positively contribute to the emergent discourse surrounding <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Cyber Laws and Security<\/span>. The scope of this journal is to extend a forum wherein the intellectual discourse is produced with respect to Cyber Laws, Cybercrime, and Cyber Security trends of today&#8217;s times and their impact on the administration of justice. These intellectual contributions are called upon to siphon the efforts and to propel better policies for <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Cyber Laws and Cyber Security<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">CATEGORIES FOR SUBMISSION<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">The contribution may be made in the form of Research Papers \/ Articles, Essays &amp; Comments and Book Reviews. The contribution, in the given category, should be a comprehensive and in-depth analysis of contemporary issues related to Cyber Laws and Cyber Security<\/p>\n<p>The following word limits should be observed:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Articles<\/span> (6000-10000 words)%<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Essays and Comments<\/span> (4000-6000 words)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Book Review<\/span> (3000-4000 words) (Contribution under this Category is required to be made along with the new hard copy of the Book).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">SUBMISSION GUIDELINES<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Theme:<\/span> There is no specific or particular theme(s) or topic(s) for the Volume. All submissions relating to Cyber Laws, Cyber Security and legal professional skills, directly or otherwise, are welcome.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Submission in electronic form:<\/span> All contributions have to be submitted in electronic form. The author(s) are compulsorily required to make a solemn declaration about the originality of the manuscript and that the same has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Communication of Acceptance:<\/span> The decision on the acceptance of the paper for publication will be that of the Editorial Board, which shall be final. The HPNLU Citation Style is available <a href=\"https:\/\/hpnlu.ac.in\/PDF\/252e010c-6417-45fc-a15d-75fded9c3905.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; text-underline-style: solid; text-underline-mode: continuous; text-underline-color: #0462c1; color: #0462c1; text-underline-color: #0462c1;\">here<\/span>.<\/a> It can also be used for the paper in case of any confusion vis-a-vis format and footnoting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Lengthy Quotations discouraged:<\/span> Author(s) should avoid long quotations and keep them at a minimum wherever necessary with full and proper acknowledgement.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Footnotes:<\/span> Lengthy and multi-paragraphed footnotes are discouraged. The citations must mention the page(s) of the source, and in cases where Court Judgments are referred to, the footnote should also mention the paragraph of the judgment in addition to the page number of the Reporter.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Websites:<\/span> Only authoritative and authentic websites may be cited. References to internet sources, such as Wikipedia, blogs, commercial websites, etc., are not acceptable.%<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">TERMS &amp; CONDITIONS<\/p>\n<p>The authors must comply with the following terms and conditions:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p>The manuscripts should be well researched\/documented following the above-mentioned style of citation for footnotes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The manuscripts should be the original work of the contributor and not a compilation of pre-existing works on the subject. It should not amount to the violation of others&#8217; copyright. The contributor has to give a declaration as to the originality of the work.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>All the manuscripts shall be subject to plagiarism check.
