The undaunting efforts of the Society lead to blossoming of its five sister institutes, namely, ILS Law College (1924), Institute of Advanced legal Studies (1991), Centre for Mental Health Law and Policy (2007), ILS Centre for Arbitration and Mediation (2016) and Centre for Health, Equity, Law and Policy (2019). All these institutes harmoniously work to create an ecosystem required to achieve the vision and mission of the Society.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">ILS Law College Pune was established in 1924 with a goal to bring finest opportunities and environment for teaching, learning and research. ILS has the distinction of being one of the oldest law schools in India. Since its establishment ILS has constantly pioneered in the field of legal education and profession. True to its mission, &#8220;<span style=\"Nirmala UI&quot;;\">\u0915\u0943\u0923\u094d\u0935\u0928\u094d\u0924\u094b \u0935\u093f\u0936\u094d\u0935\u092e\u093e\u0930\u094d\u092f\u092e\u094d<\/span>&#8221;, ILS has made concentrated efforts towards providing an ecosystem which best helps its students and staff members to become better, responsible and able resources for the country and to the field of law at large.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The ILS Law College has groomed and nurtured generations of distinguished legal luminaries. Three Chief Justices of the Supreme Court, Justice P. B. Gajendragadkar, Justice Y. V. Chandrachud, Justice E. S. Venkataramaiah; Former Governor of Maharashtra K. M. Reddy, Former Defence &amp; Finance Minister and First Chief Minister of Maharashtra Y. B. Chavan, Former Minister of Commerce, Mohan Dharia, Former Chief Ministers of Maharashtra, Sushil Kumar Shinde and Vilasrao Deshmukh are some of the prominent personalities of the country who have pursued their law course from ILS Law College.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About ILS Legal Aid Centre<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The ILS Legal Aid Centre was established in 1976 way before the enactment of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002760681\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987<\/a>, which is evidence of the firm belief of ILS Law College in innovation, both in pedagogy and curriculum. The Legal Aid Centre was established with a purpose to execute the concept of clinical legal education and make the legal education community responsive and socially relevant. The Legal Aid Centre has since inception been working with commitment and dedication and has earned a great reputation for its work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ABOUT AIKYAM 3.0 &#8212; STATE-LEVEL LEGAL AID FEST<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Legal Aid Centre of ILS Law College introduced the Legal Aid Fest in the year 2022 to mark the celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The spirit behind the fest is to sensitize the student community on socio-legal happenings in a creative way. The first edition namely Aikyam 1.0, encouraged participation of college students, from all faculties, across Pune district to showcase their talents and create consciousness about the various issues in the society, Aikyam 2.0 themed as &#8216;Media and Social Change&#8217;, was all the grander as participation was open for the students of all faculties across Maharashtra. In pursuance of the same, we are all set to welcome the fest in its third edition at the State level on the theme, Labour Welfare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">BROAD THEME: LABOUR WELFARE IN UNORGANISED SECTOR.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Aikyam 3.0 draws its inspiration from the motto of National Legal Services Authority, (NALSA)&nbsp;<span style=\"font-weight: bold; Nirmala UI&quot;;\">\u0928\u094d\u092f\u093e\u092f \u0938\u092c\u0915\u0947 \u0932\u093f\u090f&nbsp;<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Indian Constitution provides for the promotion and welfare of the labor, for humane conditions of work and securing to all workers leisure, social and cultural opportunities. India has always advocated for inclusive growth and development. The conditions of the labor class in the unorganized sector have been largely unregulated in India yet they are a prime contributor to India&#8217;s GDP. However, the primary working standards like minimum wages, working hours, leaves, measures for social security, etc. are unlegislated. This has weakened the position of unorganized labor on the financial front too. A page with details of the event and rules will appear. Click on Register and Pay tab on that event page, fill the form, and submit. On submission, you will be directed to the payment link.
