The provisions came into force on 26-2-2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">The amendment modifies Rule 29<\/span> relating to <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;Procedure for Execution of Contracts&#8221; providing that<\/span> every contract made under or for any purpose of the Act will be made on behalf of the Corporation by the Director General.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Earlier, the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">contracts exceeding an expenditure<\/span> of Rs. 5 crores were supposed to be sanctioned previously by the Standing Committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Now, the expenditure limit has been increased to <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Rs 25
