The Act incorporated a University of Law of national stature in the State of Punjab with the key objective to evolve and impart comprehensive legal education including distant and continuing legal education at all levels to achieve excellence. The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">SEMC<\/span> is one of India&#8217;s premier competitions in the field of <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">mediation<\/span>, pitting the best budding ADR enthusiasts against one another. The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">initial two editions<\/span> of the competition also served as <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">the Indian qualifiers<\/span> to <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">the International Mediation Singapore (IMSG)<\/span> organized by the Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI). Despite the turbulent times brought by COVID-19, the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">third and fourth editions<\/span> of the competition were organised, however, in a virtual\/online setup.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">6th SEMC<\/span> will be held in <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">virtual mode<\/span> through <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Cisco WebEx.<\/span> There shall be multiple preliminary rounds followed by quarter-final rounds, semi-final rounds, and final rounds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The three-member Mediation Team will comprise a negotiating pair (a client and a counsel) and a mediator.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The allocation of the slot is contingent on the availability of the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">total number of slots available with the Centre<\/span>. It should be noted that the allocation of slots to any institute will be <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">a decision made solely by CADR-RGNUL<\/span> and shall be final and binding.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">ELIGIBILITY<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Any student enrolled in Undergraduate Law degree programme in any University recognised by the Bar Council of India as on 1st January 2024, is eligible to participate. Each participating team shall consist of a Negotiating Pair (i.e., a client and a counsel) and a Mediator. The composition of the team will not be permitted to change once the same has been entered and submitted through the final registration form unless approved by the Organising Committee.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold; text-decoration: underline;\">REGISTRATION DETAILS<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Institutes interested in sending across a team must fill this <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/rQGLAgg9zUm9VNaVA\">provisional registration form<\/a> latest by <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">27th February, 2024<\/span>. Upon selection by the Organising Committee, an email confirming the slot of the institute along with the final registration form and payment link will be sent on the concerned email ID (either of the registered ADR Centre or of the point of contact).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The teams <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">must complete the payment of registration fee within a period of 72 hours<\/span> of the receipt of confirmation of slot mail through this <a href=\"https:\/\/lsacademia.in\/lsa_rgnul\/eventPortal\/loginFrom.jsp\">payment link.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Registration fee<\/span> for the competition is <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">INR 3000\/- per team (exclusive of 18% GST)<\/span>.
