Supreme Court:<\/span> In a criminal appeal filed by Sadanand Kadam, a close associate of Shiv Sena (UBT) MLC Anil Parab, accused in a money laundering case in connection with the construction of an allegedly illegal resort named \u2018Sai Resort\u2019 in Dapoli, situated in Maharashtra’s Ratnagiri district, the division bench of Abhay S. Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan, JJ. granted bail to Sadanand Kadam.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Court noted that Sadanand Kadam was arrested on 10-03-2023 in connection with the offence punishable under Section 3<\/a> of the Prevention of Money-laundering Act, 2002<\/a> (\u201cPMLA\u201d).<\/p>\n

The Court said that Sadanand Kadam is entitled to be enlarged on bail in accordance with Section 45(1)(ii)<\/a> of the PMLA<\/a> on appropriate terms and conditions, till the disposal of the complaint case filed by the Directorate of Enforcement under the PMLA.<\/p>\n

The Court directed that Sadanand Kadam to be produced before the Special Court within one week from the date of this order. Further, it directed the Special Court to enlarge him on bail on appropriate terms and conditions, till the trial of the complaint case concludes.<\/p>\n
