Chanakya National Law University (CNLU) was established in the year 2006 with an altruistic aspiration of serving society by disseminating high-quality legal education and legal awareness. CNLU has garnered a pan-India reputation as a stellar institution for legal research and education. The Centre for Advanced Research on Corporate and Insolvency Laws (CARCIL) is a Centre of Excellence to facilitate the highest standards of research in Corporate Law, Governance, Insolvency, and allied laws in India.<\/p>\n

The Centre aims to provide a platform to carry out research projects, organize academic workshops, lectures and conferences, conduct Faculty Development Programs, etc., and work towards the advancement of Corporate and Insolvency laws in India. About The Competition<\/p>\n

This prestigious moot court competition aims to ignite in-depth research and insightful discourse on critical issues within the realm of Indian competition law and consumerism. Recognizing the pivotal role of the business sector in driving the national economy, the competition underscores the fundamental necessity of comprehending the legal implications and established jurisprudence governing business practices. By nurturing the expertise of young lawyers in competition law, the competition envisions paving the way for a more conducive business environment and a fair marketplace, ultimately benefiting all stakeholders within the industry.<\/p>\n

The first edition of the CNLU-CCI National Moot Court Competition, held in association with Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys, witnessed an overwhelming response, attracting 32 teams from premiere law schools across the nation. Building upon this success, the second edition, organized in collaboration with the Competition Commission of India, further solidified the competition’s reputation for excellence. Top law firms like JSA Advocates & Solicitors, alongside esteemed individuals possessing extensive knowledge and prestige in the field of competition law, served as distinguished judges, ensuring a truly enriching experience for participants. This edition not only witnessed enthusiastic participation from many universities that graced the previous event but also benefited from the valuable expertise of a stellar panel of judges.<\/p>\n

Building upon this remarkable legacy, CARCIL proudly presents the third edition of the competition under the distinguished patronage of the Competition Commission of India. This year’s event will embrace a hybrid format, with the Preliminary & Quarter-Final Rounds conducted virtually on March 22nd and 23rd, 2024, followed by the Semi-Final & Final Rounds held physically at the CNLU Campus on April 6th, 2024.<\/p>\n

How to Register?<\/p>\n

In this edition of the competition, the registration will be restricted to only 40 teams on a first come-first serve basis. Interested teams are required to register for the competition by filling out the registration form. Following is the link to the form: https:\/\/forms.gle\/ETw2srnZ188gP3ce6<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Registration Fees:<\/span> Teams shall make a payment of INR 4,500\/- (Four Thousand & Five Hundred Only) to confirm their participation for the oral rounds. The top four teams qualifying for the physical advanced rounds of the competition shall be required to make an additional payment of INR 1500\/- (One Thousand Five Hundred Rupees Only) per person for accommodation.<\/p>\n
