Allahabad High Court:<\/span> In a plea by the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee (‘AIMC’), which manages the Gyanvapi mosque challenging the Varanasi Court’s order<\/a> ,wherein the Court directed the District Magistrate (‘DM’) to make appropriate arrangements within seven days for Hindus to conduct worshipping rituals inside one of the sealed basements called Vyas ji ka tehkhana, inside the Gyanvapi mosque premises, Rohit Ranjan Agarwal, J. has granted time till 06-02-2024 to AIMC to amend its pleadings to include a challenge to a 17-01-2024 order, whereby a District Magistrate was appointed as a receiver, consequent to which the impugned order was passed.<\/p>\n

The Hindu worshippers contended that the appeal is not maintainable on the ground that the basic order dated 17-01-2024 has not been challenged. Further, AIMC stated that it will be filing the amendment application amending the appeal and laying challenge to the order dated 17-01-2024 passed by the District Judge, Varanasi on the application moved by the Hindu worshippers under Order 40 Rule 1<\/a> of the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908<\/a>.<\/p>\n

On the joint request of the parties, the matter will next be taken up on 06-02-2024.<\/p>\n
