Trivedi, JJ. refused to interfere with former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren&#8217;s arrest by the Enforcement Directorate (&#8216;ED&#8217;) in the land scam case.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">While questioning his direct approach to the Supreme Court, the Bench asked Soren to move Jharkhand High Court first. On submission that the case pertained to a Chief Minister, the Bench commented that Courts were open to everyone, and that if allowed for one, they will have to allow everyone.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">It came into light that Soren had earlier filed a plea under Article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0001574969\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">226<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.scconline.com\/DocumentLink.aspx?q=JTXT-0002726967\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Constitution<\/a> before the High Court but opted for withdrawal of the same to approach the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><b>Source:<\/b> Press<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><b>Image Source<\/b> Hemant Soren\/X.com<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">[<span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: #632423;\">Hemant Soren v.
