The provisions came into force on 15-1-2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Key Points:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p>Rule 125 relates to the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">security measures<\/span> such as <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">safety-belt, collapsible steering column, auto-dipper and padded dashboards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to sub-rule (2), all motor vehicles were supposed to be equipped with a rear-view mirror.<\/p>\n<p>Now, with advancement of technology, the purview has been extended and the <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">&#8220;device for indirect vision&#8221;<\/span> has been inserted in addition to the rear-view mirror.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>The provisions related to <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">device for indirect vision<\/span> has been laid down for <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">L5 Category (three wheeled vehicles), M and N category vehicles and L7<\/span> which says that the specifications and installation requirement for the device for indirect vision, manufacturing on and after 15-1-2025, should be in accordance with AIS-001 (Part 1) (Rev. 2): 2023 and AIS-002 (Part 1) (Rev. 2): 2023 standard.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>For <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Agriculture tractors<\/span>, the specifications and installation requirement for the device for indirect vision, manufacturing on and after 15-1-2025, should conform to AIS-001(Part 1) (Rev.2): 2023 and AIS:114-2009 standards.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">These Rules also amend the Motor Vehicles (Driving) Regulations, 2017 revising &#8220;rear view mirror&#8221; with &#8220;rear view mirror or devices for indirect vision&#8221; wherever they occur.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\"><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Note:<\/span> The words &#8220;rear-view mirror&#8221; has been substituted
