Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas advised Eris Lifesciences Limited (“Eris”) on its acquisition of Dermatology and Nephrology branded formulations business units of Biocon Biologics Limited (“Biocon”) in India. The deal is valued at approximately INR 366 crores and the date of closing the deal was 10 November 2023.<\/p>\n

This acquisition marks the entry of Eris into Nephrology, and also enables Eris to consolidate its position in Dermatology.<\/p>\n

The transaction team was led by Nivedita Tiwari, Partner; Shailesh Singh, Principal Associate; and Anupama Singh, Senior Associate.<\/p>\n

The employment law team was led by Pooja Ramchandani, Partner, and Suruchi Kumar, Principal Associate.<\/p>\n
