The campus, fostering harmonious multiculturalism, is a testament to the university&#8217;s dedication to nurturing creative excellence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ABOUT THE ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION BOARD&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Alternative Dispute Resolution Board aims to promote and provide learning opportunities to experience the various alternative means of dispute resolution within the legal system. The Board is committed to conducting several events to provide the student community with the necessary exposure to deal with aspects concerning Arbitration, Mediation, Negotiation, Conciliation etc. fostering a deep understanding of these mechanism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">ABOUT THE COMPETITION<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The Mediation-Arbitration Competition, now in its 4th edition, focuses on developing the future members of the Indian legal fraternity and instilling efficient dispute resolution methods. The past three editions of National Med-Arb Competition have witnessed us successfully hosting national- level mediation and arbitration competitions.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">MED-ARB Details<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The 4th National Med-Arb Competition is the Fourth edition of the flagship event of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Board, School of Law. The aim is to create a platform for like- minded individuals interested in Alternative Dispute Resolution to indulge in an intellectual and thought-provoking competitive simulation of Mediation and Arbitration. The competitions will be held from the 19th of January to the 21st of January 2024. The brochure holds detailed information regarding the competition.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The event is proud to collaborate with esteemed law firms, Nishith Desai Associates, J Sagar Associates (JSA), and Luthra &amp; Luthra Law Offices (now L&amp;L Partners Law Offices) and media partners, MediateGuru and knowledge partners, SCC Online and EBC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">These law firms bring extensive expertise, contributing to the competition&#8217;s success and reflecting the commitment of the legal community to support the growth of future legal professionals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">COMPETITION DETAILS<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Composition of the Team:<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Each participating team shall consist of 3<span style=\"vertical-align: super;\">rd<\/span>&nbsp;members, where two members shall act as a client and counsel pair and one member as Mediator\/Arbitrator.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The role of the members shall not be changed (i.e., the participant in the role of Mediator\/Arbitrator shall continue to play the role throughout the competition). The Arbitration rounds shall constitute 2 Counsels from each team. No team shall be accompanied by a coach\/Instructor.<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Nature of the Competition:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">All the teams shall participate in both sessions (a Mediation Session followed by an Arbitration Session) in all the rounds. There will be a provisional cap of 30 teams who will be invited from leading law schools in India (the number of teams is subject to change based on the discretion of the ADR Board).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">STRUCTURE OF ROUNDS:<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">a) Preliminary Rounds- All Competing Teams.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">b) Quarter- Finals 8 top teams from preliminary rounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt;\">c) Semi-Finals- 4 top teams from the Quarterfinal rounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-left: 36pt; text-indent: -18pt; margin-bottom: 3%;\">d) Finals-2 top teams from the Semi-final rounds.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The participant acting as arbitrator for a particular session shall individually prepare an arbitral award within the time allotted for such an Arbitral award drafting session.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">IMPORTANT DATES:<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Commencement of Provisional Registration 20th November 2023.<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Deadline for Provisional Registration 2nd December 2023.<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Release of Problem 20th November 2023.<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Last date for Final Registration and Payment 10th December, 2023.<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Last day for seeking clarifications 13th December, 2023<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">Last date for written submissions 26th December, 2023<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Competition Dates 19th to 21st January 2024<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">We would request that you confirm your institution&#8217;s participation by provisionally registering with us.
