Through this competition, the Student Law Journal strives to bring together a community of legal experts and scholars who can contribute to advancing the study and understanding of securities law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Theme &amp; Sub-Themes<\/p>\n<p style=\"\">The theme for the Essay Writing Competition is<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; font-weight: bold; color: #a81f1f;\">&#8216;Capital Markets and Securities Laws&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>Under this some of the suggestive sub-themes that the students can explore includes:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: upper-roman;\">\n<li>\n<p>Jurisdiction of SEBI.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Regulating the regulators.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Constitutional issues in Securities Law.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Regulations on Market Manipulations.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Cross-Border Regulations in Capital Markets.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Sustainable Finance and ESG Reporting.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Regulations on Alternative Investment Funds.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Future of security &#8212; ICOs, Blockchain &amp; Digital Currency.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Arti\u00ef\u00ac\u0081cial Intelligence in the Securities Markets.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Corporate Governance challenges in the 21st century.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Submission Guidelines<\/p>\n<ol style=\"list-style-type: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p>Word limit: 1500-2000 words, exclusive of the abstract and footnotes.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Word limit for the abstract: 100 to 150 words.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Essays must be original, unpublished, non-plagiarised and shall not be under simultaneous consideration for publication elsewhere.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Main body of the essay: Times New Roman, Font Size 12, line spacing 1.5 and justi\u00ef\u00ac\u0081ed alignment.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Footnotes must be cited strictly in accordance with the latest <span style=\"font-weight: bold;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.ox.ac.uk\/oscola\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">OSCOLA (4th edition)<\/a><\/span> format. No end-notes or descriptive footnotes are permitted.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Footnotes: Times New Roman font, Font Size 10 and line spacing 1.0.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: decimal;\">\n<li>\n<p>Student\/ research scholars enrolled in any UG\/PG\/PHD course from any Indian University are eligible to participate in the competition.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>Co-authorship
