The Preliminary and Quarter Finals of the Competition shall be held from <strong>2<sup>nd<\/sup> December 2023 to 3<sup>rd<\/sup> December 2023<\/strong>. It will be held online through a conference platform whereas the Semi-Final and Final round of the Competition shall be held from <strong>23<sup>rd<\/sup> December 2023 to 24<sup>th<\/sup> December 2023<\/strong>. It will be held in physical mode in ICFAI Law School, ICFAI University, Dehradun.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About the Trial Advocacy Competition<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">This year\u2019s case has been drafted to test the knowledge, research aptitude and application of law by the participants in the field of law with regards to free speech in the present criminal justice system and constitutional provisions governing the freedom of speech and expression.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">About ICFAI Law School, Dehradun<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">ICFAI Law School, a constituent of the ICFAI University, Dehradun was established with the objective of developing a new generation of legal professionals through a comprehensive as well as contemporary body of knowledge integrating law with Management\/ Humanities to provide students with analytical, world-class, innovative and socially relevant, career-oriented, quality legal education through inclusive technology-aided pedagogies and research, in order to produce a vibrant community of legal professionals.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Eligibility<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The competition is open for students who are studying LLB three year or five-year courses during the current academic year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Team Composition<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The team composition, for the competition, shall be comprised of 5 (five) members (2 Speakers and 3 Witnesses).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: bold;\">Registration Details<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Registrations are open from 3<span style=\"vertical-align: super;\">rd<\/span> October. The teams must register online by 22<span style=\"vertical-align: super;\">nd<\/span> October.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Institutions\/Teams interested in participating in the Competition will have to provisionally register by filling this <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/uactnQLmo5o2Cmrp6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">form<\/a> and only after confirmation of provisional slot by the Organizers, should they complete the formalities of the final registration.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Provisional Registration Form: <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/uactnQLmo5o2Cmrp6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/forms.gle\/uactnQLmo5o2Cmrp6<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Only the teams who have received confirmation of provisional registration via an e-mail from the Organizers must submit the registration form which shall be mailed to the submitted email ID and pay the registration fee provided in the mail.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"list-style-type: disc;\">\n<li>Only 32 teams will be registered to participate in the competition on a first-come-first- serve basis.<\/li>\n<li>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">Participants will receive an automated system generated acknowledgement on successful submission of registration. Participants will receive approval as acceptance of their request for participation within 4 days of registration.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 3%;\">The teams can register by filling in the Google form which will be sent to provisionally registered email ID.
