Amity Law School, Noida is about to host a 2-days tournament relating to Alternative Dispute Resolution where the participants would be able to apply their theoretical knowledge into the real-life based problems.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Alternative Dispute Resolution refers to outside the court settlement where the both the parties resolve their disputes with the help of a neutral third party.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The main objective of the tournament is to provide a learning experience to the students so that they can understand how the ADR mechanism works in the real world.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The ADR Society of Amity Law School, Noida is proud to announce that we are organizing the 6th Amity National ADR Tournament on the 5th and 6th October 2023. In total, 86 teams are participating from across the nation in the event. The event will include Negotiation Competition, Mediation-Arbitration Competition, and Client-Counselling Competition. Moreover, we have invited dignitaries from across the nation to be the honorable judges for the competitions. The event will include total of 4 rounds, preliminaries, quarterfinals, semi-finals,\u00a0 and finals.<\/p>\n

October 5, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Day 1 of the event<\/strong><\/p>\n

Preliminary Round 1<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

10:00 AM<\/strong>\u00a0–<\/strong> All the participants and judges are being escorted to their respective rooms.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

10:25 AM –<\/strong> All the round 1 participants have reached their allotted rooms and soon the round would begin.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

10:45 AM –<\/strong> The negotiation competition has begun.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

10:47 AM –<\/strong> The Client Counselling competition has also started.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

10:50 AM –<\/strong> Med-Arb competition has also begun.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All the participants are putting their best efforts. Most of the negotiation participants are calm and composed. Most of the client counsellors are putting in their efforts to understand their clients issues and making their notes accordingly.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Few of the client counsellors are talking about their fee structure as well. In the Med-Arb Competition, even the judges are taking active part in the proceedings by asking various questions and explaining concepts.<\/p>\n

11:20 AM –<\/strong> Proceedings for round 1 are completed. Now round 2 participants would be escorted to their respective rooms.<\/p>\n

11:35 AM –<\/strong> All the participants and judges are being escorted to their respective rooms.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

11:44 AM –<\/strong> All the round 2 participants have reached their allotted rooms and soon the round would begin.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

11: 48 AM –<\/strong> Proceedings in most of the rooms have begun. Alongside, the Med-Arb students of Round 1 are escorted to the allotted rooms for writing their Arbitral Award.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In this round as well the participants are putting in their best efforts. All of them seem to be quite confident and most of the participants have a great command in English.<\/p>\n

The client counsels of this round are focusing on various points like bringing both the clients to a consensus regarding the maintenance amount, their own fee structure etc. Even the clients are performing well and are pointing out their issues very confidently.<\/p>\n

The negotiating parties are also giving their performance very confidently. Each and every participant is calm and composed.<\/p>\n

12:20 PM –<\/strong> The proceedings for round 2 have been completed. Now, Med-Arb students of Round 2 would be escorted to the allotted rooms for writing their Arbitral Award.<\/p>\n

All the participants are taking active participation in the whole proceedings. Every team is confident and are enthusiastic to move on to the next round.<\/p>\n

Med-arb participants are also performing well this time. Most of the med-arb participants have completed their proceedings and are making their final arbitral award.<\/p>\n

4:15 PM –<\/strong> The quater-final rounds of Negotiation, Med-arb and Client Counselling ended.<\/p>\n

Mr. Sanjay Kapoor began the session with a small introduction of himself and of the SCC Software. Firstly, he explained about word search option. Then, he explained find by topic option. Further, he explained about find by party option.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He explained that if we don’t remember party’s name, then we can search the case by famous words which are associated with the case. We can also get to know about which all cases have used a particular case.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Further, he explained that we can search anything within the case itself by using sub-search tool.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He also explained that we can search any case with the help of sections of any statute.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Further, we also have curated topic search which helps us in searching any case in any law subject.<\/p>\n

Throughout the session, he emphasized on the importance of word search option.<\/p>\n

1:14 PM –<\/strong> The med-arb proceedings have begun and the participants have started introducing the problem. Both side of the participants are arguing with confidence.<\/p>\n

1:18 PM –<\/strong> The client counselling session has also begun. The participants are carefully listening to the issue of their clients and are asking questions whenever they feel necessary. They are making their notes side by side. Both the client counselling teams are performing their best.<\/p>\n

1: 20 PM –<\/strong> The negotiation competition has also begun. Both sides of the participants are arguing with confidence. One of the teams is doing really well, they are continuously speaking.<\/p>\n

1:55 PM –<\/strong>\u00a0 The final round has come to the end now. Now, we would be having valedictory ceremony and the winners of the event would be declared.<\/p>\n

The first dignitary explained the audience about the history as well as importance of ADR. The second dignitary motivated the students to participate more in the events, She also congratulated all the participants who took part in the event and stated that every single person performed well in the competition.<\/p>\n

The third dignitary firstly stated that whenever we need to express ourselves we need to do it in our mother tongue, then, he congratulated all the participants and the whole organizing committee.<\/p>\n
